All our cruises and expeditions are operated on the M/F ARAPAIMA, our brand new 32 passenger deluxe expedition cruise vessel.

Our Amazon expedition cruise and expedition itineraries are specially tailored to the active, inquisitive and eco-conscious audience. Our programs have exceeded the expectations of our clients and the Arapaima has been able to penetrate rivers and tributaries seldom visited by tourists. We choose our crew, chefs, local naturalist guides, entertainments and land tours carefully to provide a top-notch vacation and to ensure an authentic experience of the areas we visit in the jungles of Peru. Our trips offer guests the opportunity to go where the big ships cannot enter.

Join us on one of our exciting new programs and be one of the first to sail the Mighty Amazon River on the Arapaima.

A typical "shore excursion day" on the M/F ARAPAIMA may include an early-morning bird-watching excursion. The ship carries two aluminum boats each holding 15 passengers. These boats take cruise participants up small tributaries, streams and lakes that weave their path through the jungle.

Breakfast will be served on board
between 7:00 and 8:30 AM followed by a landing. At least two guides and two helpers accompany every jungle trek expedition. From the boats the group will set off on a hike. The pace is easy and controlled by the guides.  As one guide leads, the other brings up the rear behind the hikers. The small groups will stop often so our guides can describe the always surrounding flora and its traditional uses, discuss skills for surviving in the jungle, look for animals, birds and unusual insects and also visit local villages of indigenous rainforest people. There will be plenty of time to learn about the natives' nature-based culture, marvel at their ancient skills, self-sufficiency, their knowledge of the many medicinal plants they collect and their use in their daily lives. We may also have time and opportunity to buy, or bargain, crafts made by them. Lunch is ready between 12:30 and 2:00 PM followed by afternoon special excursions for piranha fishing, short and long day jungle walks into primary and secondary forests or jungle exploration.

D
inner is served between 7:30 and 9:00 PM and may be preceded or followed by a night-time viewing of fiery-eyed caimans or nocturnal wildlife.

The bar opens from 9:00 Am till 11:00 PM.
